Staff in the Spotlight: Kadi

Name:

Kadi

Position:

Marketing Coordinator

How long have you been working at Food Lifeline?

One year

What are the basic duties of your job?

One of the things I’m in charge of is putting together this    e-newsletter! I also put together our print newsletter, manage all Food Lifeline marketing materials (including fact sheets, brochures, etc.), I help with special promotions, manage our Speaker’s Bureau, and plenty of other fun things.

What is your favorite part about your job?

I love visiting some of our member agencies, talking with clients and staff there—being able to take pictures and hear their stories. I also love to write (press releases, newsletter articles, etc.) and be able to share Food Lifeline’s story in creative ways with the public. It’s important to get the message out there that people need our help and hunger is a big issue in Western Washington and nationwide—and it’s part of my job to make sure people know they can help end hunger by supporting Food Lifeline.

What do you like most about the people you work with?

I work with an amazing group of people, and I love to work in a place where all of the people are so friendly, hard working, and passionate about ending hunger.

What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

It depends on the weather—but I enjoy hanging out with my family, hiking, seeing movies and visiting new places. I also love to bake (cookies mostly)!

What is your favorite food?

Anything sweet! Ice cream mainly—and if I have to pick something non-sweet, I would say my mom’s lasagna.
