Hunger is closer than you think. In fact, it’s right here in our area. This September during Hunger Action Month, we’re reaching out for help in shedding some light on this critical issue. The entire nation will be participating in a variety of ways to take action and end hunger. The theme is

Here are a few key events coming up during Hunger Action Month
- September 24th: Community Egg Breakfast
A free community breakfast for 1,000 of our clients in partnership with the National Egg Board and Northwest Egg Farmers. In need of a hot meal? Join us at the Filipino Community Center from 7:30 to 11 a.m. - September 30th: Dress Down Hunger
Join us for our first annual fundraiser in the warehouse on Friday, September 30th. This casual and entertaining evening offers a rare chance to see inside Food Lifeline’s warehouse while kicking back with a local eats and drinks, and dancing the night away with live music from Cherry Cherry Band. - Light Up Hunger
Orange is the color of hunger awareness. We are asking businesses to participate in “lighting up hunger” by lighting up their buildings orange, or asking employees to wear orange on certain days during the month. Email Food Lifeline’s Corporate Relations Manager for more information. - KRAFT Huddle to Fight Hunger
This football season, Food Lifeline and Feeding America are teaming up with Kraft Foods in their Huddle to Fight Hunger campaign to help donate 25 million meals to hunger relief organizations. - All you have to do is “like” Kraft Huddle to Fight Hunger on Facebook, enter your zip code when prompted, and Food Lifeline will receive 14 cents! Play the new “2 Minute Drill” game to donate more funds.
