Food Lifeline Taking Action to Aid Flood Victims

In conjunction with America's Second Harvest, the Nation's Food Bank Network, Food Lifeline is moving into action to help support the thousands of people in Western Washington affected by this week's winter storms. In the coming days Food Lifeline will be accessing America's Second Harvest's nationwide infrastructure to bring necessary items to the communities impacted by this natural disaster.

The flooding and high winds have impacted not just the food banks and meal programs Food Lifeline serves in those areas, but entire communities. As the waters recede and people are able to return to their homes they will need food and water, cleaning supplies, and other essential items.

Please join Food Lifeline's efforts by donating in one of two specific ways:

  • Donate non-perishable food items such as canned soup, canned stew or sealed cases of baby food

  • OR

  • Donate funds so that Food Lifeline can fuel the trucks that will be bringing the donations of food, water and cleaning supplies into the affected areas over the next few weeks
Donations can be brought to Food Lifeline's Shoreline facility between 8:00am and 4:30 pm. Donations of funds can also be made online through our secure server or by calling (206) 545-6600

Check back for updates in the coming days as Food Lifeline and America's Second Harvest move into action to support our neighbors in need!
